Two Children Drown in Krukut River

The Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat), deployed 10 rescue team personnel to search for residents who fell into the Krukut River, Jalan Penjernihan Raya, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Tanah Abang, Tuesday (4/30).
The victims are a five-year-old child and one teenager
Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Asril Rizal expressed his party received a report of the incident from residents who came to the fire post in Bendungan Hilir, around 9.34 AM.
"The victims are a five-year-old child and one teenager," he stated.
145 Fish Domes Get DrownedHe explained that after receiving the report, personnel immediately rushed to the location. The first personnel arrived at the location at around 9.26 AM and then immediately began searching the victims.
Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Fire and Rescue Section Head, Ahmad Syaiful explained the two victims each had the initials MRS (5), a resident of RT 02/02, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, and AM (18), a resident of RT 01/07, Karet Tengsin Urban Village.
Based on the witnesses' testimony, the incident started when the victim MRS, who was sitting on a motorbike parked on the road and fell into the river. Then, AM, who happened to be near the location, took the initiative to help the victim throw himself into the river.
"Until the afternoon, our men were still carrying out searches in the area around the initial incident where the victim fell," he closed.
